For those not familiar with the electronic music artist, Deadmau5 (pronounced “Dead Mouse”), Deadmau 5 Remix is an app that lets users create their very own mixes using clips from popular tracks by the artist.
Using a fairly intuitive interface, budding beat-masters can choose from a total of 72 different beats, songs and other effects – all pulled from actual Deadmau5 songs – and mix them together however they like. Essentially, Deadmau 5 Remix lets users step into the shoes of the iconic DJ himself, producing their very own take on his music.
As with any mixing app like this, players can save all their mixes and even upload them to Facebook, allowing them to share their creations with the Internet itself. There are also ongoing competitions hosted by Future Audio Workshop, the company responsible for the app (check out the website for more information on that). And they can check out the top-voted mixes by other users on Future Audio Workshop’s website too, which is kind of cool, as there are some impressive uploads on there.
There are a lot of apps on the iTunes App Store that let you DJ, but the appeal of Deadmau 5 Remix is that it lets users mix beats using sound effects and clips from well-known songs by the electronica artist. In this sense, Deadmau 5 Remix immediately stands out in an overcrowded sea of DJ mixing app clones. What’s more, the interface is very intuitive, and learning how to mix using the software is a straightforward process that shouldn’t take anyone too long.
All in all, Deadmau5 Remix is a fun – though somewhat expensive app at $2.99 – iOS creation. For iOS users at all into mixing, they’ll be able to have fun with this one.

Faqden Labs are introducing the newest app in their line of IntelliVocab apps: IntelliVocab for Business. This app, designed by MIT students, is designed to help people get acclimated to advanced vocabulary and verbiage often used in business. The app is powered by MIT’s artificial intelligence laboratory and MIT’s Web semantic labs, bringing these advanced technologies into users’ hands to help them out. The app tests users with multiple choice questions, and pronounces the words so users can get a feel for actually using them. Words will also appear in different forms, like as adjectives and adverbs, so actually learning them and how to use them properly becomes the goal instead of just rote memorization. The app also tracks stats over time, ranking users after each practice session so they can track their improvement or forbid, their decline! IntelliVocab for Business is available as a free download for the rest of June, before it goes back to its normal price of $0.99.

ESPN Radio is an official ESPN app designed for listening to a variety of ESPN Radio content and stations. It provides access to dozens of ESPN Radio affiliates nationwide, playing ESPN talk radio content, local sports talk, and live sports broadcasts both local and national; I found a minor league baseball broadcast on one station while browsing.

Twenty some odd years ago all I had was a Nintendo Entertainment System, and since I was too young to get a job most of the games I played were rentals. I would try to vary my selections every now and then but more often than not I would rent the same few games repeatedly because I knew I enjoyed them. One such game was Taito’s love-letter to spies, 
However, failure to live up to its potential isn’t the worst of Elevator Zombies‘ transgressions. That honor goes to the controls. They aren’t awful, but they do tread dangerously close to pretty bad. The movement buttons don’t always respond right away, most likely due to their size and placement. Jumping is a thing that exists but aside from avoiding trapdoors that are usually never spotted in time in the first place it serves absolutely no purpose. Although if I could simply use it to jump across an open elevator shaft I’d have nothing bad to say about it. Seriously though, if the controls were cleaned up this would be perfect. Or at least as close to it as possible.

The clue is in the name with Mini Cafe. Players start out by cooking in a small cafe and working their way up to the heady heights of a full blown restaurant. Players get the opportunity to decorate their cafe just how they like, thus adding their own style to things. A cafe requires interesting meal ideas so, within Mini Cafe, players can cook all manners of cuisines from Italian and Mexican to French or Japanese. Bonus coins are provided for successfully matching the decor and appearance of the restaurant to the dishes served up.
