Increasingly, we as consumers store and take with us many, many sensitive things when we travel. For instance, I was away in London last month and had to leave my laptop, iPhone and my iPad in a hotel room. At least my iPhone was usually on my person, but the iPad was frequently left in the room in a bag. While there’s the protection of locking the iPad using the built in security functions, it’s comforting to know there’s can be an extra layer. PrivateInfo-HD does exactly that and has the extra use of keeping sensitive information safe from prying eyes, even the ones allowed to use the device.

The app offers the look of a safe and it certainly is that. Entering an initial password to lock everything securely, users are given an easy and intuitive interface to deal with. It takes seconds to add any of the many types of data supported by the app. Users can add their bank account information or credit card details for easy reference. This offers a particular benefit for users who travel a lot but don’t always want to carry their details around with them. Website login details can be stored also along with notes and personal information.

Multimedia files can also be stored with special provisions offered to photos, videos and voice memos. Multiple albums can be created to ensure easy yet secure browsing. Users can even record and take photos or videos from within the app for extra ease. Files such as PDFs and Word documents can also be imported with web server and Dropbox support offered.

PrivateInfo-HD is a pretty comprehensive app for security features. It’s easy to use and very secure thanks to the AES256 bit encryption. The many integration features are ideal with the developer promising iTunes file transfer connectivity in a future update. It might seem a little expensive to some but for those whose privacy is vital, it’s still an excellent price.
