It’s immensely satisfying to create collages – spending ages to pick out just the right item in the craft store, carefully laying everything out just right on the board then gluing everything together and eying up the end result proudly. Unfortunately it also takes up a heck of a lot of time, space and money.

StickerLetter might not be as relaxing or as tactile as sitting back spending the day creating a masterpiece but it is a great way of sending friends and family nice messages that have the personal touch.

It’s an app that offers a huge wealth of different letter papers and stickers, ensuring that there are hundreds of different combinations to create. To start with, users can use one of 20 letter backdrops comprising of various different themes. There’s then the choice of 34 different photo frames in which users can then position an image from the photo album. This is a great way of introducing friends and family to the first photo of a newborn child or simply a way of showing off a new pet, a happy birthday occasion or anything possible really.

Over 100 stickers exist to decorate further with three different alphabet types possible such as newspaper, magazine or chocoball. Text can also be added through the many types of text labels too if a longer message is required. In each case, it’s pretty easy to set up and decorate. My only wish is that users could add stars or something with a glittery appearance. While users can always add ribbons or chunkier stickers that state something, it would have been nice to have added more subtle labels or perhaps a trim of some sort.

Otherwise, StickerLetter is pretty fun for the arts and crafts fan. It’s easy to share results via e-mail or Facebook too. StickerLetter will never replace the joy of spending a day creating something beautiful but it does make for a great and quick way of sending a personalised message. Hopefully there will be more updates to come, offering new stickers and backdrops.
